MedEasy
Client:

Overview:
We made a website for MedEasy, a company that specializes in the Medicare program. MEMAR web application is for the purpose of ensuring that proper medication is given to patients in nursing homes and long term care facilities. The application will track and pass responsibility, with checks and balances of medicines from ordering to physical delivery to the patient. The application will provide “one touch” compliance reporting as well as customizable internal reports and an array of pre-defined reports common to the industry.

Technology Highlights:
Technology domain:Microsoft .Net framework 3.5
Language: C#
Database: SQL Server 2005
Technologies: ASP.Net ,Ajax
Script: JavaScript

Business Challenge:
MedEasy wanted a line of software products that act together seamlessly to run nursing home operations and reducing manual work. The main goal we set was to make this application track and pass responsibilities to ensure proper delivery of medications. We also made sure that we reduced the number of times that patient data is entered for various aspects of nursing home patient care, and replaced burdensome paper work with computer tracking systems.

Benefits:
• The new technology will help eradicate medicine administration errors.
• We added a convenient "Click & Pick" medication options.
• Apply re-ordering flag "alarm" when the minimum level of inventory is reached.
• Cross-Reference Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) was established to ensure each drug is covered by patient’s payer source.
• We made it possible to allow all types of physician orders to be entered into a customized section (value added feature).
• The simpler screen saver option blacks out the computer screen after a short period of time. The screen then shows a large ATM-style keypad so that the nurse may quickly input her code and continue the med pass.
• When a user logs into system, their assigned residents appear on the screen at the medication-pass specified time in the user's section of the building.
• We added indicators to alert the nurse when the patient has treatments due.
• The office can receive new orders from the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE).
